The way the weather is right now (at least up my way), you may be fishing in the snow.

It was just snowing here.  The water temp on the farmington is a surprising 50 degrees!

The freestones have been a grind but got a nice brown at the Swift and nabbed another bow later in the day on the west branch of the Westfield. Not a bad way to spend Good Friday.

Interesting find while doing some exploring. Guess the sewer grate wasn’t cutting it.

6am to 7pm yesterday....lost count of how many...got a really bright tiger trout:

Had a good day.  Taught my buddy how to euro nymph and he proceeded to catch a trout on his first drift.

Nice work getting your buddy addicted.  How were the crowds?  I drove over the bridge heading out in my yak and it might as well have been the canal during a new moon phase.

No crowds.  Fished the entire 21 mile stretch.  Was moving up and down the river all day.

Braved the weather the last couple of days. Moved a bunch of fish but only managed to land two smaller trout. What they lacked in size they made up for in beauty. Rainbow was one of reddest of bows I’ve ever seen in person.

Nice bunch of fish.

You're right about the brilliant colors on that rainbow.  Is that supposed to be some mating thing, or does it stay like that all year long?

No idea Jim. That’s the first one I’ve seen with those colors before, especially w all the red in the belly.

It was a slay fest yesterday.  Mostly rainbows.  Probably landed 25 or so by sunset.  Zebra midge in gold was a killer.

Bad pic, fat bow.
