Nice pictures and great fish. Thanks for sharing...h2l
Always wanted to long rod that section Pat. Forgot to mention that I got bored and added a third Thomas and Thomas contact to my collection. The contact 2. I was skeptical that it would be improved but I fished half a day with both the old 10' 3w and the new contact 2 10' 3w. The new one is noticeably improved. Pat if you want to borrow/use my 10'8" 3w it's gathering dust.
Nice looking trout and sun shot. I have to get back over there someday.
I may take you up on that. Using the mono rig on a normal 8.5 footer isn't cutting it. We need to meet up soon so you can teach me a few things. I thought I was a pro after the first time out but been a struggle this spring. If you want to hit that section I'd do it sooner than later. It drops quick and was running close to perfect.
Happy to host you Bart or at least point you in the direction of pools that are mostly ignored. It's a tremendous river. Right now the farmington averages 4000 trout per mile that trims down to 2-3000 per mile by summer with some harvest. Even so it's really hard to have a bad day on the farmington.
