On a side note
Man did they yanks get spanked or what? What was the score again? I didn't think there were touchdowns in baseball. Must be a new scoring system.

Randy only gave up 2 earned runs, its not fair to place the blame on him. It was the defenses' fault last night.

Before that the only people in Mass wearing Sox hats were the old timers. Christ all I see nowadays are chicks with pink Sox caps on their melons. I love asking them to name 9 guys from the roster. "V-Tek, Schilling, Papi, Nixon" um yes and....that's what I thought. Believe me I know we have our fair share of wagoners too. Just on observation. I very much enjoy the rivalry and interacting with intelligent, civil Sox Fans.

Same here....It's too bad that Manny won't be playing in the All Star Game, but his health is way more important than this game...if he goes down for some reason, that's a huge blow later on down the road. Obviously only one team is coming out of the AL East this year and he's a big part of making sure it's NOT the Yankees.

As far as the All Star Game voting goes....I can't figure out why people didn't vote in Travis Hafner! ::) ???

its those annoying sox fans, the finally won something and now they have gone completely nuts, they dont know how to act, and like you said, with young kids seeing this at the park thinking its normal, imagine how that generation is going to act at the games ??? before red sox fans were passionate and loved the sox, now it seems they hate other teams more than they like theirs? they dont go to watch the sox they go to boo the visitors :tipup: if thats how they are, i hope its another 86 whatever years until they win again :tipup:

nothing wrong with being a sox fan, personally im a yankees guy but sox fans dont bother me, the ones that bother me are the sox fans that can only name 2 or 3 players on the sox but can name every yankees players and every joke about them, there not sox fans just A-holes that go to games :tipup:

But there are always stupid fans where ever you go. But lets not be the pot calling the kettle black. Yankees fans are well known for being a bit rude. And when you go to a game you cheer your team and boo the other team if you want. Thats what you pay for. I can tell you stories about my neighbors son and girlfriend going to Yankee Stadium and wearing sox hats. Only to have beer poured on them and then get pushed around. They ended up leaving those games. So there are A-holes in every ballpark. Including yours.

Post by: archbishop on Aug 10, 2006, 01:07 PM: hey no one is saying anything about not having fans that are BAD, the yankees are probably the team with the most bandwagon jumpers, hell everyone wants to be a yankees fan, but yankee fans do that to most everyone, kinda the NYC way ??? what i was talking about is the difference between red sox fans and yankee haters calling themselves red sox fans and giving true fans a bad name, i said earlier true red sox fans are passionate and yes they hate the yankes but they love the sox first :tipup: the people i was refering to couldnt name 3 or 4 red sox but know all the yankees they BOO, there not giving a message to kids to be red sox fans, but they are teaching them to hate the yankees, ever true fan on either side will admit they need each other, its part of what makes the rivalry so good boo and cheering is great but degrading players and fans is sending the wrong message :tipup: now that the sox finally won a championship they have people who dont really follow baseball going to just yankee games to beat up on the yankees, not to cheer the sox :tipup:

heck, look at all the mets fans all of a sudden crawling out of the wood work :tipup:
