I'm plenty worried about the Yanks the way they've been playing lately.
As long as the Sox continue to play solid ball they should be alright, though. Nine games is a pretty good lead barring a total collapse.

We can't blow this lead, it has been shrinking a bit lately, we have way to good of a team to not be there in october. Little mid season slump that has to be shaken off. Ill breath easy when we are 30 up on the spanks with 29 to go.

I would love a Tigers Sox ALCS. But those pesky Indians are not going away are they.

she is a Yankees fan.
She asks her students to raise their hands if they, too, are Yankees fans.
Wanting to impress their teacher, everyone in the class raises their hand
except one little girl.
The teacher looks at the girl with surprise,
"Janie, why didn't you raise your hand?" "Because I'm not a Yankees fan," she
replied.
The teacher, still shocked, asked, "Well, if you are not a Yankees fan, then
who are you a fan of?"
"I am a Red Sox fan, and proud of it," Janie replied.
The teacher could not believe her ears. "Janie, why pray tell are you a Red
Sox fan?"
"Because my mom is a Red Sox fan, and my dad is Red Sox fan, so I'm a Red Sox
fan too!"
"Well," said the teacher in a obviously annoyed tone, "that is no reason for
you to be a Red Sox fan. You don't have to be just like your parents all of
the time. What if your mom were an idiot and your dad were a moron, what
would you be then?"
"Then," Janie smiled, "I'd be a Yankees fan."

What was the Indiabugs $pankee$ series at ? Indiabugs up 2-0 .
And most of those years have ended in failure, thats right 13 straight post season appearances and 3 rings.....
The past has nothing to do with whats happening right now but hey when your over paid team is failing against a team with half the payroll, looking to the pasts success must make $pankee$ fans smile a little.
The Sox are up 2-0 so I'm smiling right now and in the event of a complete meltdown and they don't get to the world series at least I only have to look back to 2004 for our pasts' success. That is great year to look to isn't it, Sox took it all, and all because the $pankee$ performed the biggest choke in postseason history.
Torres' job is on the line and in the hands of Clemens. They loose, watch and see Steinbrener might fire himself. He spent over a billion dollars the past decade, his viens are bulging out of his forehead, K-rod hasn't got so much as hit for him in the post season ( 0-18 ).
Godd luck they really need it.
