I havent seen a biggest lake trout thread anywhere, and iff there is direct e to it. hers a big one, 12 lbs in a backcountry lake ;)

i got a 32" laker from otsego, but this 30" actually weighs more.

Mine is a mere 16 pounder caught through the ice at Blue Mesa Reservoir in Colorado. Last year I hooked one in another lake that was twice the size, but he escaped close to the hole.

got a 12lb 32 1/2 in. this year and a skinny 13lb 37 1/2in. last year. both in the same lake about 1/4 of a mile apart.

I haven't caught any lakers but my step-dad has a 36.5lber on the wall from Nueltin lake.

ice fishing 33 1/2 it was at least 12 lbs (Bussman has the picture and a bunch others from icefishing as well lol :) )
heres my dad with the 32 1/2" i caught (okay its the one laying on the ground on the left hand side) was a great day of fishing though we had our limit of 4 fish before noon

My biggest is 24 lbs. 11. oz. 39 1/2" long. I have caught many over 20lbs. Lake Ontario is a great place to catch 14+ lbs. lakers daily. 20+ lb. lakers are very common.

Just have to fish with people that know how and where to catch them. If you are going to fish it and never have go with a charter the first time to learn as much as you can.

14lber are common in lake Ontario that insaneee gotta make the trip I guess, my biggest is an 8lb laker
