Title: Clam Genz Predator !?

So on a scale of 1 to super dumb - where am I at with this one?

I want to bring an extra set up with me, have a couple rods but my reels are all spoken for... What I was thinking was using my Genz Predator reel from my Ice setup? Is that as idiotic as it sounds in my head? Fishing a max of ~30 FOW with it.

Basically I'm trying to not buy another reel right now haha.

Not enough detail to your post in my opinion. If you are chasing blue gills go for it. lakers and salmon may be a waste of time. However pushing the limit can be fun.

Should have clarified - targeting Smallies with it.

You should be fine. 4lb test or greater if the fish are larger.

I interchange my ice reels for open water fishing all the time.  Nike - just do it.  ;D

That way i always put new line on come ice season. ... ;D
