I am very concerned that President Biden intends to put more 15% ethanol into gasoline. The big problem with this is that small engine manufacturers have cautioned that if this formulation is used in small engines, it will void the warranty.
Think of the impact this could have on Maine folks' small engine uses like lawn mowers, outboard motors, all terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, snowblowers, chainsaws and brush saws, generators, ice augers, rototillers, and wood splitters. The problem is that ethanol causes lots of carburation problems and also deteriorates the engine's hoses on small engines.
I contacted Maine's Senators and Congressmen. Please fight this

There are places that sell ethanol free gas. At least 2 in Ellsworth. I hope that does not change. It's all I use in everything but my trucks.
Rick, Are there places for ethanol free up your way?

Check on puregas.org for state by state list of where to buy non ethanol gas.

Yes, the 4-corners Citgo in Columbia, the Airline Snackbar in Beddington, but I have found none in southern Maine

Why would any sane person go to southern Maine?

For years, corn-based ethanol has been mixed with the gasoline sold at gas stations across the U.S., but a recently published study has found that its carbon intensity is “likely at least 24% higher” than gas, Roadshow by CNET reported.Feb (http://For years, corn-based ethanol has been mixed with the gasoline sold at gas stations across the U.S., but a recently published study has found that its carbon intensity is “likely at least 24% higher” than gas, Roadshow by CNET reported.Feb)

What's wrong with southern Maine? I've actually vacationed in southern/central Maine. It's a beautiful state all over.
If I didn't have my parents to take care of I'd move to Maine in a heartbeat.

I'm against using corn to produce ethanol. It's not cost effective either. I believe it has to be subsidized.

Too crowded, very few ATV trails, ice fishing ends 3 weeks earlier than more northern parts of the state.

Non-ethanol easy to find in big snowmobile/atv places like Rangeley, Millinocket only place around me in Chelsea is Fuller's in West Gardiner. It's all I use besides in truck. 2 year shelf life instead of 2 minutes with that corn crap
