Title: Five and Five
Post by: bogtrotter on Jul 04, 2022, 08:39 PM
Symmetry is important to me, and yesterday I caught five trout on the North Hoosic in North Adams, so today my goal was to equal that performance on the South Hoosic in Adams.

After a morning of heavy-duty hammocking, followed by picking raspberries and currants, I fished the lower (southern) end of my milk run in the mid-to-late afternoon.

The weather was similar (sunny, blue skies, about 80 degrees), and the stream levels were low, but not as noticeably so, as yesterday.

In a little under two hours, I managed to eke out my goal - - with four mid-sized (12" to 14") rainbows and one small (9") brown.

Afterward, I wrapped up my Independence Day festivities with a cookout (steak, a deluxe salad, boiled lambs quarters and a can of Wormtown
Brewery Irish Red ale) followed by shooting some pool with "the guys" at my local club, and now I'm unwinding in front of the TV watching my guilty pleasure ("Siberia") with my older son.
