Title: Sally and Missy condition update
Post by: bigr on Mar 01, 2023, 08:54 AM
After checking the crop site today i'm really surprised the recent rains didn't have the effect i thought it would. Both are up from winter pool but discharge rates are up and levels will drop quickly back to winter pool. Normally the holdback doesn't start until atleast mid march close to April so those wanting to get out with a boat will need to use the Dora on Sally and Red bridge ramp on Missy until levels come up. As far as color they are very dirty now but will begin to clear if rains hold off. The head water areas will clear first. It's nearly time for the crappie to start their migration upstream for the spawn so prime locations will change over the next few weeks. Depending on the forecast i expect fishing to pick up in a week to ten days with the missy being your best option 1st since it will reach winter pool and clear first. I'll update as i get out.
