Hi fishin buddy,

I have a Garmin GPS60 CSx... [ similar to the eTrex line]

It works great!!  I would suggest buying the MetroGuide Canada v4

It will give all the info that might might possibly need to get you where you want  to go. [ Gas, Hotel, Food, Hospital, etc. ]

The only bad thing about it and I haven't a solution to this yet is that, it doesn't show any depths of the lakes.  I cannot find a specific software for SK that does this.  Perhaps somebody else could let me know about that too!!

Garmin is very well known and I was told to be the best by many people I have talked too.  Every dealer that I talked too suggested Garmin as well.

check this site out:

http://www.gpscentral.ca/

They had the best price that I could find around.  Also fast delivery!!

Let us know how you make out...

Garmin is the Way to go. I have the Map60Cx and it is awesome.  Depth maps for most of the larger, recreational type lakes in Alberta can be found on line so it should be the same for SK, but I have yet to find actual depth maps ready made to upload into your GPSr for anything in AB. You will have to make your own. Here is a link to the info you need to do this.
