we used to catch bullfrogs when we were kids. we'd cut the legs off at the hip joint, and with the skin on, saute them in butter with a little salt and pepper.
to catch them. we'd use a long cane pole with a little piece of red cloth on a hook. just move it in slow and dangle it in front of their nose and they'd jump up and grab it. other colors would work, but there was something about the red that they really went for.

the frogs would grab at the hook with their little front legs, a very anthropomorphic image. maybe thats whats wrong with me...
