Fish'in for Frogs ?

The Prey -  Billy The Bullfrog

                                         The Hunter - Otis

                                      Mission Accomplished

Just cut off a piece of rubber worm or tube bait (no hook needed)
Tie it to the end of your line. Now move it slow
along the pads near a muddy shore. Stop - wait - jiggle jiggle.
They start moving in to chomp on it. If you swing the bait up
fast enough they hang on for about 15-20 seconds and you got 'em.
(Disclaimer: all frogs were released unharmed while filming this video !)

I fished for frogs last year during the summer. I did pretty good with a small scum frog. Grilled frog legs, cant get any better than that!

Sorry I just found this topic. I cut the legs at the hip joint and skin them. I cook them on one of those grill top screen things you get at walmart.

we used to catch bullfrogs when we were kids. we'd cut the legs off at the hip joint, and with the skin on, saute them in butter with a little salt and pepper.
to catch them. we'd use a long cane pole with a little piece of red cloth on a hook. just move it in slow and dangle it in front of their nose and they'd jump up and grab it. other colors would work, but there was something about the red that they really went for.
peta would not have approved.
the frogs would grab at the hook with their little front legs, a very anthropomorphic image. maybe thats whats wrong with me... :P

I just used my bass gear to catch them. Throw a small scum frog up on the bank and jiggle it towards the water. They come right up and eat it. Jerk hard and fight them just like bass fishing.
