Southend
« on: Jun 06, 2009, 12:36 PM »
I was listening to Newstalk 650 yesterday around noon and they were talking about Sask tourism and quite a few people phoned in and mentioned Southend on southend Reindeer Lake.  That got me thinking of takeing a trip up there, but I am wondering if that road going up there is paved or is it decent gravel or a really bad rough road.  Anyone know?  I looked it up on Mapquest and it's a dotted line, but on google maps it's a solid yellow line going all the way starting from La Ronge.

It is 170 kms of gravel from 30 kms north of la ronge to southend.  The road is not too bad. just have to watch out for semis.  can be washboard in some areas.  If you take your time it will be fine.  great fishin up there. good luck
