Over flown rivers and fish
« on: Apr 01, 2010, 12:01 PM »
What's everyones experience with over flown rivers and fish location? Do they remain close to the normal river path or do they travel all over the place? Once the rivers start to recede back to normal, do some fish get caught in islands of water isolated from the main body? Has anyone ever caught any fish in these "islands" of water. I'm also curious as to how much damage to the fish populations do these floods have. Any thoughts or experiences?

The fish will move into the newly created shallows. I've seen fish trapped before but I doubt it's enough to cause any impact on the population.

They don't bother me Dick. They keep it up and the whole world will know where they catch those big ones.
