If Esox knew how to ice fish & read a flasher one might come in handy instead of a Fishing buddy  ::) ::), but alas river rats are too good for the ice. 
Seriously though I have a showdown troller, love it. I have the battery pack, but also use it with just AA batteries.  Works for 8-14 hours on 4 AA's, longer if it's during the day light and you don't use the backlit feature.  Be happy to lend it to ya!  I figure less than a LB & $10 in batts and you have something.

Hey thanks alot man !! I may take you up on that... I don't have anything that runs on AA batteries and my lowrance will only run a short time on a tractor battery and no way to recharge it. I'll give you something for using it if I do.. thanks again !!
