When I posted that line, I was kidding. I thought we were joking around. I'm sorry if everyone thought I was being serious.
That line did appear to be a joke, but when put in conjunction with a few of the other posts, perhaps not so much.  "It's called the world wide web, if ya don't like it........" This member vs mods thing seems to come up every several months.  While we are expected to respect your position & the job you have to do, is that reciprocated?  I mean mods have the responsibility & are "running" this site, but Cny is driving.  NY & New England comprise the bulk of this site, and to pick one area, look at a map.  Draw a circle in a 75 mile radius around the 81 bridge over Oneida........How many people (yes lots of lurkers, but they still count as hits, and ad rates are based on hit counts) hang on everyword posted here looking for someone to giveout just enough to figure out the hotspot?  It would seem that lately the rate at which posts & threads are yanked is accelerating.  Basing it in on comments left on youtube?  Have ya noticed the manner in which lots of those posts on YT are written?  Lots of them are kids posting that garbage.  As a father of 4 it's becoming a difficult balancing act between responsible parenting & censorship vs micro-managing & oppressive parenting.  Trying to do that on the web even harder.  My kids are 12-18, their version of the web consists of Facebook on 1 window, & youtube in another.  They've all seen it on their own. Unfortunately the pace our "entertainment" is degrading into what was thought unacceptable only a few yrs ago is also accelerating.  I was born in 73, I saw Gremlins in the theatre with my mom & sis, I remember the stink about it being too bad for PG & them developing PG-13 because of it, now that's tame compared to primetime TV.  Tony Danza & Who's the Boss was the sit-com on every evening around dinner time, now it's Charlie Sheen & 2 1/2 Men........Just Monday night I walk in my den, & find the family watching it right after dinner.  It was the episode where Alan & Judith were screwing around again.  Judith would "drop her spoon" as an excuse to get under the table and make Alan "happy".......That was followed by Charlie's wise response to embarass Alan of "Yeah you're reading a book I remember now, you're reading "Under the Dining Table" by Richard Gobler.   The point is our society is becoming more desensitized to what was taboo, while we don't have to like it, it is happening.  There needs to be a balance here, much like at home, between good judgement & being overbearing.  When people bother to log on and write something, only to have it bounced for a seemingly odd or obsecure reason, What do you expect as a reaction?
I was berated for fishing & asked recently by a PETA type.  You don't keep fish do you?  I responded "No I don't like aquariums. I just treat them like a quick haircut, & take a little of the sides"

You know Bcons... I can relate to everything your saying. I can remember the days when cable TV was provocative and people always commented on the content of cable TV. NOW..... Standard TV is absolutely horrifying !! I take the time every day to make my kids breakfast and give them a ride to school ... I find myself having to turn the radio down almost every day....And I listen to AM 570 !! The evening news... Nope not a chance !! the things they report on Are not acceptable for small children... You really want your head to spin..take some time and watch cartoon network west !! SWEAR WORDS are the very least of our worries...

this is my uncle inlaw john lance , we park at his camp to ice fish  ;D
I've known John Levanti for a million years !   Actually, all of the Hurricanes.  John has been in "Kane" since they reformed back in 2003.  Kevin Farrel joined them in 2008.
It's sad seing Benny these days.  Parkinsons disease has really taken him down.
People who saw him at Ballon Fest last weekend said he looked terrible  :-\

i understand , you are old and set in you're ways  :P
I'm always open to new and good music !    It's the overrated, repetitive modern rock drone that I can't stand !  ;)
Plastics are Fantastic !
