Rookie of the year
« on: Jun 15, 2004, 09:47 AM »
What happened >:( My man Michael Ryder got hosed by the NHL and Andrew Raycroft.
Am I the only one that thinks that Ryder got hosed?
You can either be the type of person that spends a saturday watching Dr. Phil, eating tofu in your bachelor appartment, or you can be the type that goes fishing.... Your call....The bass are biting...

Im a little late on this one, but I agree. Ryder was the man. I not really a habs fan either, but you gotta call it as you see it.

I live in Peterborough Ontario and was lucky enuff to watch his Brother play all last year for the Peterborough Petes. That kid has some serious skills and will be in the NHL one day really soon

Your kidding me, we call him St.Patrick he's excellent. He really knows how to throw his weight around with no regaurd for his own body. Not to mention he has a little bit of a scoring touch

He is easily the most popular player in Peterborough. I see tons of Kids wearing his jersey. Me I still wear my Domi Jersey.

For those who dont know the Peterborough Petes (OHL) have put more players and coaches into the NHL then any other junior team. here is a short list

Scotty Bowman
Roger Nilson
Dick Todd
Steve Yszerman
Chris Pronger
Tie Domi
Mike Recchi
Larry Murphy
not to mention the Great one himself Wayne Gretzky (even if it was only for a game or two)

Peterborough City is also know for its NHL alumni. Steve Chaison (Detroit, Deceased), Corey Perry (London Knights), Mike Fischer (Ottawa) NOt to mention one of your Sabres Jay McKee.
