that ice should b outta here in the next couple days for sure! diein for waldos, been catchin steelies and browns to hold me over tho. my 6 year old (deadeyes jr.) landed is first two steelheads and a small brown this eve! good stuff

The hathery folks like to wait until almost all of the ice is gone. They should be setting nets this week.

If you draw a line from the end of the rock pier in Sylvan Beach to Lewis Point, the south east corner is open.  North west of that line is locked up pretty good.  There are a couple cracks 6-8 feet wide along the beach heading towards Jewel that were open this weekend.  Hopefully this rain and wind will shake things up.

Made it out tonight for some of the whisker fish.

Got one line in and started to bait the 2nd the had one on. Got 15, give or take, in 2 hours. Also got soaked since I wasn't expecting heavy rain. They seem to be schooled up good. One line would hit and while you reeled it in the others had bites. Lost a handful more and had a tough time telling light bites with waves. Past few years they really haven't hit like this. Glad to see them moving into the bay already.



Thought this one was a carp.


But it was both of these on the line.
