« on: Jun 07, 2013, 03:43 PM »
just wondering if anyone has used big 8 inch trout swim baits to try to catch lakers? I was thinking a bout buying some but they are 30 bucks a piece so was just curious if anyone has tried them.

I use ripple shads all the time in the 5" size. I also use jerk shads for a little diffrent fall rate.

Well I finally bit the bullet and boy am i glad i did! I spent $35 on a huddleston 68 special rainbow ROF 5 and within three hundred yards I caught a 36 inch 20.2 pound laker.

Hi guys,
Here is an article I found on using Big Hammer swimbaits for rainbows and other similar trout species. ---->http://www.swimbait.com/techniques/trout.htm
Hopefully it will work for you also. :)
