Fished today, 10 walleyes, 5 SMB and some perch. Only 2 walleyes were over 15 and not by much. Many of them were in 12 to 14 inch range. Found a huge bait ball with lots of fish in it but the perch were killing me. Ran out of worms. Water temp 76*. That bait ball was from 5' down to 20'. If I could get the jig below it I would catch a walleye...h2l

Nice job Doug - - what area were you fishing?  I'd love to get my kids set up over some perch!  We had some good luck down around sunset bay marina last week and caught a real nice 16" perch.    Have not been out too much to fish, been doing more beach days with the kids!

Thanks for the info this morning Doug, went out where you said to go ,got two twin walleyes 14 3/4 inches missed 3 more fish. Found a big bait ball but no perch. Went to our usual  spot nothing hitting there, started to rain so we headed in. Got to the spot we started at couple more hits and misses started to rain again headed home.

I thought you may have gotten a little wet. They had to be there, but they do move a lot. You at least caught a few. That area can be good, don't give up...h2l

Iceman, all went fine yesterday. We were at St. Peter's at 5:45 and back home before noon.  She slept most of the afternoon....h2l

There were a lot of boats out there but I don't think many were fishing. Lots of jet skis. Lindsay has a couple days off this week, just trying to find a cooler day to go out or get her here "early"...h2l

We were also looking at Thursday morning but not with the weather forecast I see this morning. Right now thinking Friday, just not sure if Lindsay is off on Friday. Had a pretty good storm go thru about 3am this morning....h2l

Looks like the weatherman fooled us again. This morning doesn't look bad but no one at the launch...h2l
