Fished yesterday, me and my cousin caught 12 walleyes 6 were keepers, missed a few more. Also caught a large perch 14 inches. The morning was bearable with clouds and a breeze keeping the heat away.

That is a very good day. Had to be getting pretty hot by the time you came in. TOO HOT for me. There must be a bass contest today as the launch is over half full this morning...h2l

This upcoming week has a couple good looking days in it. Did you fish your normal area yesterday? What was the water temp?

H2l first stop was at the area you told me to go,to no luck there so we went to my usual spot, found them very Hungry. Overcast and breeze made for cool fishing, left at 11 oclock started to get hot, fish were still active. 14 inch perch was very fat.

That first spot seems to be producing better in the afternoon for some reason but I do hit it on my way out most every day. I will fish a spot for 15 to 20 minutes then move on..h2l

My cousin caught the perch, he said it fought much harder than the walleyes.

I thought today would be the day. 3 walleyes, 5 perch, 1 SMB and I had a pike on until cut me off. Water temp 78* and there was a good walleye chop, 2 footers out on the main lake....h2l

A couple times early I wished I had brough a sweatshirt. The wind got a little too much in the afternoon. I had to switch up to half oz. jig and that wasn't doing well. There were 7 or 8 boats out on the Northville end early in the morning. I should have started out on the main lake, the fish were there, just didn't have the boat control to jig very well...h2l
