jaconwall, good to see you are getting out. Last night looked like a good time to get out.

BBB, do you keep your boat at the lake or are you launching each time.

Looks like some more warm weather on the way. a little cool down wouldn't hurt.

Good Luck everyone....h2l

I launch everytime, I've thought about getting a slip somewhere but I like to bounce  around too much

Well got to the launch in Day this afternoon and there was a sign saying the launch closed at 7pm for fireworks not really sure why they needed the dock and launch for that, so I left there pretty pi$$ed off and headed to broadalbin with low expectations.hit the launch just in time as 6 boats were coming in just as I pulled away from the dock. I was pleasantly surprised to find hungry fish at my first stop, we boated somewhere around 15-20 fish 7 legal size the rest were shorts. 22fow seemed to be best. Also caught some of the biggest rock bass I've ever seen and one perch just shy of 13". As soon as the sun dropped below the mountains the bite shut off and wee called it quits at 8pm. Taking a couple friends tomorrow morning up to Day to hopefully get them some fish for their freezers.

BBB nice day for sure!

I fished 6AM to 9AM caught one bass.   Then my dad came up and met with me, and then we went over by scout island and ended up having an OK day, caught 6 or 7 walleye, all shorts but at least we got some action.   Still yet to hit a spot with some bigger fish, but at least we are making some progress!

Heading out today with the family, might try to do some fishing.  Anyone have any tips for any spots this time of year where some minnows/worms might catch some perch or bass.  Might head up towards Northville bridge today and check that area out.

BBB, that is a good evening of fishing. I found that when the sun hits the hills they shut off, for about an hour or so.

jaconwall, PM sent....h2l

Also,  watched the fireworks off Sinclair point and drove back to the marina in the dark, first time we’ve done that.   Not going to lie, driving the boat at night is super creepy!   If I didnt have my chart with the trail to follow back , not sure how I’d do it!

Sounds like a good time to me.  On my larger boat I have radar and its still a bit un-nerving to ride around at night!

5 keepers and a few throwbacks this morning had to cut our trip a little short but it was fun nonetheless

BBB sounds like you had a good time. Jaconwall sounds like a fun evening, but the lake is spooky at night.

I should have stayed home. Got the walleye skunk. HOT no wind until after 1pm. Marked a ton of fish 20 feet down to 28, just off bottom, just could get them to hit. Did catch 1 small perch, 1 nice bass and a 10" bullhead out of 33 fow. Water temp 79* out on the lake. There are a lot of bait balls along just about every break...h2l
