New House in Florida
« on: May 08, 2022, 09:11 PM »
Most of you know about this move of ours.

Yesterday and today Donna and I got maybe 1/3 of the trailer loaded for our next trip down there.
We leave 2 weeks from this Wednesday.

The stuff we "collected" over the years is astounding to say the least.
Donna is finally seeing what I've been telling her for 2-3 years.
Throw it out, donate it, or leave it for Jeff rather than move it.
She is now really scrutinizing what we are putting into that trailer.

Been packing the enclosed utility trailer I bought.  It’s about 1/3 filled.

Tomorrow I’m taking it to a local truck stop and weigh it.

It’s only a single axle trailer (with electric brakes though) and only rated for 2000# load inside.  Last thing I need during one of these trips down there is to break a spring or axle.

All loaded for the next trip down.  Leaving week from Wednesday.
We are hoping that we only need one more trailer load after this one.
We will see.

Had a chat today with my boss, one of the owners of the company.
Told him I was considering moving down to Florida sooner than planned.  He asked if I was thinking about retiring earlier than planned.  I said no, just feel I will finish up the last few months remote, from down there.
He didn’t say no.

Thanks guys.
Donna had to put in a half day at work.
So I'm doing the same.
We will leave about noon or shortly after.
Weather looks like we will T-storms most of the day tomorrow.
That will suk.
It is what it is.
We are taking 3 days to go down this time.
Macy is riding shotgun!!!!
Donna gets the back seat - lol

About 40 miles shy of Gainesville FL, where we will spend the night.  Stopped for fuel, walk Macy, and some dinner.
Long ass day!

Got  here about 10:30 this morning.
Internet guy was here waiting for us.
The truck is unloaded and we got about half the trailer unloaded.
Haven’t gotten my new 86” tv unloaded yet.  But we are getting close to it.
Glad it’s warm here at 85.
Far easier to work on things with a good sweat pouring out of you.
Donna’s really happy.
