June on the local
« on: Jun 11, 2022, 09:48 AM »
My home river has seen one extreme after another.  Most of the spring saw high stained water - not guite flooding
but certainly rather high.  A couple of weeks ago it began to drop to more normal levels.  Trouble is, it just kept
falling and now I am having to deal with low, but still stained conditions.

Last night was a veritable red eye fest.  I caught my first fish, a rock bass on my first cast and the action was
constant.  I moved trying to find a post spawn smallie or two but the goggle eyes were every where.  I switched from
a jig to a tiny torpedo which, in short order, got blasted...by goggle eyes.  A fun evening even if the smallies didn't
come out to play.

fish on,
