Pretty Early
« on: Feb 11, 2023, 09:38 AM »
Been noticing a number of early arrivals at the feeder. Two weeks ago had a couple of robins and couple flocks of Grackles and a couple of male Redwings. Ice on Lake George in Hobart about gone. When it goes I'm sure the Mergansers will be showng up.

Here in upstate NY we’ve seen the same. Flocks of robins, cowbirds, grackles and other transients. No redwings, but I expect them soon. They visit our feeders as a last resort.

And yes…it seems way too early.
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
