Hair Rig

Here's the common "Hair rig" I use for carp. I like to keep the hook small...#8 wide gap....I like 6 or 8lb mono.....I use corn (Green Giant) and add a small piece of styrofoam to the hair to keep the bait floating a bit off the bottom. I use a dried pine needle as a stop to keep the bait on the hair.

maybe ill give that hair rig a try, evryone always talks about it. ive never had a problem hooking coppersides on simple slip sinker rigs, but hell always up for someting new, have to break 100 carp this year, thats my goal, maybe this will be the kicker to put me over the top
