Things of interest to see while vacationing in North Dakota

Hey guys. I hope your season is going well.My wife and I are planning a road trip in September.We will be traveling on I-94. we need info on things to stop and see in the state. I prefer things not to far from the Interstate I-94. also, are there any places to get some dirt to bring back for my grand kids to pan for gold? Thanks in advance for all your help.
