Hit my spot early afternoon to fish the incoming tide. The swells were coming in pretty big, 3-4’ and breaking about twenty feet of the shoreline.
I like to cast plugs on the back side of the swells and crank through them, several times i watched the stripers zip through the swell and smack my plug!! Gotta love that show.
Ended up landing 6 and losing a couple others. The biggest were al chunky coming in at 26”,27 1/2 ,28 1/2, and one just under 30”. All released for another day.

That’s awesome! Good to see they are still around too!

Awesome fish! I gave up on the stripers over a month ago.

Wow. Outstanding job. It's always good to squeeze the last drop out of a season. Your description of those strikes is real nice!!

Thx. My favorite way to catch them. They really are an amazing fish!

Wow, that's awesome! Those are some good looking fish, made even better by the fact we're in the last week of October. They shut down for me two weeks ago at my usual spots in SoPo, this has given me the incentive to keep going for at least one more tug.

Used to be one of my favorite games. Big white water and giant metal lip swimmers, a buck tail or an eel.
