I just returned a few hours ago from a four day family trip to the Portland, ME area.
F/W/I/W- I highly recommend the Maine Military Museum and Dock's Seafood Restaurant in South Portland as well as Pine Point Beach in Scarborough.
Anyhow, after putting our stuff away and a quick dinner, I got out on the South Hoosic in Adams for a half hour this evening ,
The weather was ideal (sunny, blue skies, 70 degrees), although the water was a bit low, and I was fortunate to encounter and land four cookie cutter (12"-13") rainbows.

Nice recommendation and very like you to hit the water after! Id do the same. I now have an extra 5w if you want to come visit again. Fishing south of where we fished in fast water. Lots of fun.
