Ajax/Pickering fishing
« on: Apr 19, 2011, 02:49 PM »
Hi all,

I was wondering...Is there any good fishing areas in Ajax/Pickering???
How about the area around/ behind Giant Tiger on Westney??
By the looks of sat. maps it looks like there are a few small ponds/creeks/rivers there feeding from Lake O.

Thx in advance.........................

Yes this is a good area to fish. You can find lots of good areas on Duffins Creek south and north of this spot as well (seasonal). You can also fish Rouge River, a solid producer when they are in there.

You can also shore fish Frenchmans bay or launch from there. If you are adventurous and have a good solid boat go out to lake Ontario and go to the Nuke plant. Fishing is amazing there but not easy.

Durham region boasts some great Rivers that all hold fish seasonally. Go to Tightline Outfitters on Brock Rd and they will inform you of where and when to go.

Good Luck

Any Luck out there in the  rivers?

Are you gonna venture East next weekend for Walleye opener in the Quinte area.

Lots of great places to fish from shore and you might just land a beauty Walleye. Try any number of rivers and also the Murray Channel produces fish this time of year.

Anything goes this weekend (almost) as they will let you pretty much camp anywhere you want near the river. It's a great time to try the rivers around Trenton or Bellville or the channel around Brighton or Carrying Place.

Check it out. Don't forget to buy a tourney ticket you never know.
