Spring Pike in the new boat.
« on: May 10, 2014, 10:32 AM »
I've been out about 4 times since pike opened up looking for some nice spring pike and i found some. I was in the Cataraqui river tossing LT 5 of diamonds and red devil spoons. The red spoon seemed to outfish the 5 of diamonds but both were successful. Pike were anywhere between 4-10lbs and caught in 3-6 fow. Biggest being caught by my brother in law was 32", and i would say close to 10 lbs. Yesterday we boated 9 pike. 6 for him and 3 for myself with a lot of lost fish from both of us after hooking up and a 2-3 second fight before throwing the hook. Here is a pic of the 2 biggest my brother in law caught yesterday.

Nice catches! :thumbup_smilie: The red & white Devle always worked best for me when it comes to pike.
