I went looking for emeralds today . Grand Island was a bust. Very few at the old Holiday Inn , Beaver Island docks are being rebuilt but nothing along the stone wall either . Ended up finding a bunch at Collins Marine , the owner is a great guy and just asks you not to make a mess . It’s early , just figured I’d post how I did.

How the hell would you know?
🤣🤣🤣
They aren’t in the canal Rich.
In the River this time of year
Emeralds need cold water but more importantly, they need oxygenation.
No water flow this time of year to speak of in the Black Rock.

On the downstream side of the lock
Scotty and I fished perch there all the time but never got any emeralds there. Doesn’t mean they aren’t there now.
