NY pike opener and smallies
« on: May 19, 2016, 11:00 AM »
My dad an I went up to Pulaski for the pike opener. 1st Saturday in may every year. Not the most productive trip but managed some trophies and as always made some memories. On the third cast i landed this beauty. Guessing about 35"and 12lbs or so

Fishing was slow but on Saturday I managed to land these hogs. Smallie was 19"and guessing about lbs. Pike was 37" and about 16lbs.

I saw that pike laying in the shallows but she wouldn't go after anything. I started throwing a 6" sebile magic swimmer and started dancing it in front of her face and bouncing it off her nose before she finally got annoyed and hit it. Later I found our why she wasn't hungry. There was a half digested 20"pike in the stomach. Eating machines they are.

Every fisherman is a liar. Except for me of course!
