More specifically the model 30 lincounters.
The drag on the Depthmaster is JUNK.
Very touchy.
No resolution.
At the low end, it's either on or off.
When trolling I usually set things and then tighten the drag with the clicker on just so it stops clicking.
Then, when a fish strikes, the clicker alerts me.
Pretty standard - many do this.
With this real it's impossible to set it properly.
I'll end up having to real things in to check for a fish when it's a light biter.
SUX.
The Okuma is a WAY better choice.
Even with light biting or small fish the drag can be set so the clicker alerts me when there's a strike while trolling.
Certainly not Okuma's high end, but it's easily up to the task of trolling for walleyes and I have absolutely no reservations using it for Lake Ontario salmon and trout.
Anyone want to buy two slightly used Cabela's Depthmaster II reels?
