Well, we went to Sacandaga to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. 1 bird is dead and the other is still alive. Tried some walleye fishing in usual spot. Haven't been up in over a month. Hardly marked anything and the wind was pretty bad. Called it quits and done for the year. That's the live bird. The dead one is we closed the camp for the season. Won't be back until next May. Oh well, at least I caught some nice ones that are in the freezer.

Kim, I know the feeling of having to close-up camp. I did all my hunting out of "the Camp" before it became home, so closing up here was done 1st weekend of December.
The "great" fall fishing can sometimes be a BUST. You had a good year and I am sure you learned more about the lake. Have a good winter, stay in touch....h2l

Thanks again for all the well wishes for my sister. Guess it’s time to winterize the boat and put it in the garage, was hoping to get out a couple more times. Soon it will be time to switch over to Iceshanty.com to report on ice fishing if we get ice. Everyone have a good winter and looking forward to your reports on iceshanty, H2l good luck hunting and bowling. The rest of you good luck with all your winter endeavors. Petercos your brother will be in my thoughts and prayers, keep us posted on how he is doing.

Thanks guys. For some reason my last time up fishing for the year has always been terrible. At least I'm batting 1,000.... ;D ;D Boated a total of 12 walleye with no shorts. Missed out 4 weekends due to an extra week camping and the weather. As stated, next year at my own leisure it will be better. I did discovery the drop shot rig and tweaked it to my fishing, and it had paid off. Caught some huge small mouth at 1,000 islands. Fried some last week and the fish was very good. Must be the clearer water there. Will be checking here now and then before heading to IS.

Kim, all keepers is pretty good for this year when everyone was catching a lot of shorts. I do think the fishing may be better down that way. It may be because there is more "deeper" water, so there is more "cooler" water temperatures. May hold move bait fish. Northville down to Mayfield end is one big flat, except for the river bed and some deeper holes. Enjoy your Winter.

Iceman, my boat will be going into the garage next week. Nothing has been done to the dock. As far as the bowling goes, we have a solid lock on the cellar. Got a couple new teams that are pretty "hot". Stay in touch and the best to your sister...h2l

Fall eyes on Oneida is on my bucket list maybe this year, as for perch I usually wait for ice.

Piscesman it was a good season for you, was nice reading your reports. Maybe we will meet in person next season.

H2l being in the cellar isn’t that bad, only way to go is up. You and the terrova were the best improvements to my fishing success for that I thank you. Will keep in touch over the winter.

Beerbelly, Petercos and all who contribute to this post it has been great reading your posts.
