Still, have lots of open water fishing before ice... Lure looked like a Gem-n-Eye ice jig...

lets see walking threw 3 foot of snow in 0 degrees to drill a hole and fight frost bite or to cast from a open shore for walleyes of fly fish for trout and salmon ...this sure is hard to decide

Fished Simcoe in early Oct. What a perch factory. We didn't slay them but got some nice jumbos. Looking forward to return for ice fishing.

In a word......nope!
Now is my favorite time of year for fishing and I'm hitting the perch grounds tomorrow. I can wait for snow and cold and shovels and heating bills.

I'm definitely dreamin about thick ice and jumbo perch and slabs! Got my clam out of summer storage, got my batteries charged up, got my auger blades shaving sharp and got my jigs sharp and sorted. Only thing I don't got is ice so I'm impatiently waiting for that flag to pop!
