I grew up not far from there.
The fishing options arent that great unless you like trout fishing. Hamlin Lake, Potato Creek, and Marvin Creek are all alright for trout. You can drive to Kinzua or East Branch to fish from a a boat, but they are about the only options within 1.5 hrs and I dont care for the fishing at either.
You can also float the Upper Allegheny in a canoe, but I've done two trips and havent had as much luck as I thought I would....a few smallies.
