I am seeking someone who would like to join me and a Canadian flyout fishing trip.  I went up to Caesars North Camps this last August and had an awesome time except for the guy who went up with me.  He complained about every little thing.  Long dirt road, rain, etc.  I would really like to return again next summer but I have no one to go up with.  I was really hoping to make this an annual trip but I can't find anyone willing to go up.  I only have a couple of guys that I fish with and one of them has a dwi, and the other has no money.  I thought I'd just throw this out there.  I have all the tackle and such.  In 5 1/2 days of fishing I caught 161 Walleye's and 1 Pike.  Best time fishing I've ever had fishing wise.

995 for a full week and that's the plane ride and all.  with tax it is $1,156.07.  the only other cost is a license which is 40. and if you get there the day before you have a motel room cost of I think it was 60 maybe, I can't remember that.  this is per person.  I live in Claremont, NH so its suppose to be a 9 hour trip but I was the passenger and it seemed to take a little longer but not to much.  Its a great time if your into fishing.  Not much else to do though.  Fish, Eat, and sleep.  Hardest part of trip is packing only 100 lbs per person..  If your really interested I can send you info or look online for Caesar's North Camps

Which lake did you fish Tracker?
What more can you tell us.
What kind of food did you pack to make the 100# max.
Did you pay for the extra weight like the website suggests?
Thanks

I'm interested, but not for another year or so.
Way too much going on with my place on Erie right now and the 3 week cruise we have in March.
2021 probably.
And my son Jeff is interested too.

I do t eat fish so I brought hot dogs and frozen foods. 100lb weight not as bad as I thought but with only two of us we were allowed 25 xtra each.  I went to Nancy lake. Smaller of the lakes but I’ve never caught a walleye before so I used this lake as a learning experience hoping to go back and fish others.  With you on Lake Erie you must know all about walleye

So if there is only 2 people do they typically allow 250#?

I know a lot about walleye ON LAKE ERIE.
lol

Big difference.
No real structure on the east end of Erie here in Buffalo.
You troll and look for bait and fish around bait.
Not a ton of skill involved really.

But I have fished Canada many times for eyes.
You need to fish structure.
Shallow early in the season.
Slightly deeper as summer develops and the water warms.
And deeper if a front comes through.
Etc.
Far prefer this type of walleye fishing.
Pike fishing too.
Casting spoons for pike off the weeds is awesome.
Lots of fun.

Good luck finding a partner.
If I wasn't so wrapped up in things for the next year or so I would go with you.
I've never done a float plane in trip.
Soon!

Thanks Mac for your interest.  I would be willing to go up with you and possibly a group of yours anytime.  The lake I fished was max 40ft.  A bit small and clear water which I thought would be a good choice for the first time going.  I found the jig bite the first 3 days was great then I switched to trolling bottom bouncers with butterfly blade spinners with whole crawlers.  I also found the trolling with slow depth hooks with gulp 3 inch plastic worm worked very well as well.  I watched so many youtube videos before going I knew what to do just never had done it before.  We don't have walleye's where I live except the Conn. River which I don't fish.  If I don't find someone I'll have to work harder for 2021 I guess.

2021 would be soonest for me.
And I will be retiring in august of that year.
So I'll have tons of time after that.

Yup - it actually starts next spring when we get our new place delivered on Erie.
Currently I'm have a 22' x 50' concrete pad pored for it.
The cash outlay over the next 6-8 months is gonna make me puke.
In the end it will be awesome.
But getting there...………

Wow, I'd love to go on a trip like this but for me it's having that much time off. I need a sabbatical!

Sounds interesting and too bad for your buddy with the DWI.  Canada apparently doesn't like letting you in if you have a record from what I understand!
