Title: Daughter first stripers
Post by: fishcaptain1 on Jul 16, 2018, 01:05 PM
Took my daughter out on Sunday with my fiancée and I didn’t disappoint them at all. We started mackerel fishing and they were hot and heavy it was tough to get them to stop fishing for them so in we went to the rocks and that didn’t disappoint either. Put the first ballon out and getting the second ready and off it goes fish on. And it just kept going 14 fish in 2.5 hours and my daughter reeled everyone in. She caught her first keeper at 30 inches biggest fish to date. We left the fish biting. There was nothing huge but all fish were 25 to 30 inches we were hoping for that big one but the smiles were better than the trophy.
Now if I could get her to go tuna fishing with me to get her on the business end of a 130 would be great I would die happy

GREAT job Captain dad!

If she is out, count me in on a Tuna trip. Fuel and bait on me as well as all of the other duties that go into a fishing trip, like cleaning and etc. Tuna trip is on my bucket list. I also come with home made kielbasa and wine  ;) lol
