I hear Orman is open water. Does anyone have and info on how its fishing?

   That would be awesome.  I'll call up one of the Baitshops up there tomorrow and see what they say.

  I called up to Spearfish Feathers fish and Fur and they said the Ice has been off for some time now and the fishing has been pretty good up until this last bit of bad weather but it's supposed to warm up this weekend a bit (42F ?)

   YO   BIG ICE    just got back on few minutes ago.  when did you say we were going to S.D.?   ckd keyhole this afternoon about 3 pm. west end was open on south side to wind creek camp ground. deer creek iced over  south west side of mule creek opened out to 100 yds in places. boat ramp still iced in.  wind blowing hard out of the west so she is opening up fast.  mabe next week I can start giving you lessons again, open water this time.  Noticed you did not listen to me much on the  Ice.  OH by the way  I have invited k-man over for a few lessons also.  hope you up to it.

I know now You actually went back there for some secret lessons and to pick up some secret lures.

If you give any lessons like you did the winter its going to be a long spring.

I have been living and fishing in SD my whole life and I've never been to Orman. This year I'm gonna go goddammit! Good to hear it's open.

I dunno... I never have any luck from a boat up there... early spring bank fishing and in the creek, yes, ice fishing lots! but NEVER from a boat...
