Taking the new boat out

Heading to the slough cause I am getting stir crazy here. Havent been out in 3 weeks. Sunday is going to be a great day.

I would suggest taking a back up motor. The weeds are already to the surface.  I about smoked mine last Monday.
 I heard the level was up a little after the rain but they had it so low the weeds took over. It's a shame they didn't leave it how it was a month month ago. I'm itching to fish but don't think I have the patience for that mess anymore

Usually fish around the first island. Found that there are plenty of fish around there. Havent had to deal with all the weeds and aggravation going any farther. 4 to 6 fow. Looking at the extended forecast, they are calling for rain like 8 of 10 days. It will probably change. You know, they are never right. Just something about fishing in the rain just doesn't appeal to me anymore. Must be getting old.
