I can't take credit for my name, my mom gave it to me over 38 years ago. The good thing about it is that I don't usually get told " that names been taken, please try again" when I join things like this ;D It's pronounced Ray-Dean, which is why most people call me Ray, for short.

Seriously, it ain't about my stature, it's an ice fishing jig:

And, here's my Iceshanty avatar along those same lines:

And, here's my cat, posted here for no apparent reason whatsoever:

And a salamander, just for the random fun of it:

Sorry, got carried away posting pics...but what the heck, it's all fun, right?

It's been so long since I've posted on this thread. I derive my name from NY's beautiful Adirondack Mountains (adk for short) This is why I love the Adirondacks:

FAT BOY - Thanks for throwing in the salamander pic...
Oh Lord - there he is, it feels like a big one, please don\'t let me lose him, I\'ve never caught one this big before.  I\'ll try not to horse him, and if I land him, I promise to release him, and make a graphite replica, if my wife says it\'s ok.  Thank you for the Rapalas...

Hey adkRoy I was just on top of Gore last Sunday looking at that exact same view towards Garnet in your picture ;D
Did you hike up or cheat like I did and take the gondala. That area is some of my favorite hiking and fishing grounds.

Nice photos guys. :)

I will also post again why I chose my name.

My name is the English translation of the northern pike's scientific name.
Esox lucius means water wolf.
I chose this because the northern pike was the very first fish that I ever caught, and since then I am hooked for life on this great sport of fishing.  Pike are one of the most wide spread fish in my area, and I can usually count on them to bite. They alway give a good fight large or small, and are my favorate to eat.
 In short I like pike. 8) ;D

Its been fun reading these, heres mine....

I left a message for a buddy of mine to call me with his daughter. She told him some guy called. "Did you get his name?" he asked... She said "Tom"    great... I know about 10 Toms...Did he give you a last name? She said "it sounded like Hollywood or something like that".   It stuck.   It's alot better than other nicknames I've had!
