The shanty has been hopping lately! Lots of us that have gotten the itch, sick of the heat lol. I know I’ve been looking forward to it, already degreased a new reel so I can put winter lube in it. First year really looking at targeting lake trout.

Chez, ya gotta look at the 90 day forecast, there's a button at the top for it. Rutt, you gotta read it right. the average is the solid lines, the forecast is the dotted lines. In December the forecast line is above the solid lines pretty much straight through, that means above average temps through December. As long as we get more than 4 inches of ice at Promised Land I'll be happy.
Mac Attack, fishing is fishing. Spew your garbage somewhere else. You can hate winter all you want but if you have nothing constructive to say on this thread then go to the next thread. Not everyone hates winter.

Mac.. you just have to get yourself a nice shanty with a big old heater in it.. if you love fishing you'll love ice fishing too.. lol
It's just the cold walk in and out that sucks when the wind is ripping

Wow..
All this change in the seasons has everybody grumpy now... Like the phases of the moon, all the weirdos come out...
Haven't been soft water fishing lately cause of all the rain and my work schedules. My other partner got a new job and works all the d**n time now..
So I'm sitting here in the house and building a new salt water aquarium that I recently purchased.. next thing to fishing.
Also gotta put my new Ice Sled together too that I bought last post season. Can't wait for the ice to try this thing out !!!!

I'm tired of drilling holes for fish.
I have pneuropathy in the feet.
Very painful and it's been getting worse over the years.
Standing on the ice makes it worse.
Not worth it anymore.
<3 yrs left and I'll retire and move to VERY southern Florida on the water.
Never to deal with the cold and the crap anymore.

I can't wait for the ice to get here and to get back on it with Chez and the guys. Trust me it's a really good time and is a toss up which is the better part, all the talkin and bustin or catchin the fish.
