AHhhh...the first 100% caught salmon of the year, and a day earlier than last year. I had one last week but it got off as I was pullin it up on shore.... It had 3-4 lampreys on it and I was kinda pisssed cuz I wanted to help the little guy...anyway heres a NICE sammy I caught a little after sunrise today on the third cast...she took a silver husky jerk. Note the cool red spot near the tail. Quick photo then back to the river :)
Good start to the spring...very thick and healthy too ;D

we also did some stockie fishin last week, three of us were fishin and prolly caught and each released 30-40 of these colorful little buggers :)

Nice salmon Harry! They should start coming in a little better the later we get into April, especially if the river AND lake are both high.
-
Nice fish!! It won't be long and some of those ADK lakes will be open ;).
Robb
-

......shouldda been out there this morn but I had a long awaited night at the bar after a hell week in school, might be a loooong day....
-
Great pictures! I think salmon are the best fighting fish open or frozen water.
-
Ya, grab some extra napkins too...after that grease hits your stomach you might be crappin in the creek. :pinch:
-
Nice fish Harry! Oh yeah, your PM box is FULL... ::)

NO and lord I wish we did....Back home I live minutes from the bronx and there are plenty of WCs....I can only consume that a few times a year....somethin about eatin 10 burgers in one shot really makes the salmon swim in my belly ;)
-
You have mail... 8) Up here at college, we don't have a McDonalds within walking distance...but a bunch of greasy hash browns from the cafeteria are GREAT for hangovers...I just wish that they were open before 9 on Saturdays and Sundays that way I could eat some and get on the water (or ice) a lot earlier. A real help that's for sure.

lol. yeah, I wish we had them in CNY. I think there are frozen ones, but that ain't the same. They really soak up the alcohol, then when they come back up...no more alcohol in ya! And yes, ya gotta eat'em by the sackful. Eating one is like having one shot of beer. 8)

I tried some WC burgers a few years ago... :P...i don't know, they didn't do anything for me. Then again, i was driving through kentucky at the time.

Finally Get to a lake with open water, its 20, windy, and snowing, the lake is mostly frozen with a couple open spots and channels through the ice....as soon as we got out of the truck we began to freeze our balls off....thank god i never clean my truck out and had piles of warm gear for all of us...gloves, hats, extra coats and hoodies.....on the lake and its even windier....really freezing now and theres nothin biting....troll a bit then decide to try some deeper water....hit 35' or so and dropped anchor (well sorta)
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0296.jpg&hash=af7b63dc5af3da1f8d3b12efed79a6c0)
Bust out the VEX and its quasi-icefishin with a white pimple and a fathead in a 20 yard channel of open water....not there 5 mins and I got a looker...BAM first laker of the day
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0282.jpg&hash=5c84137ba4462a00d2d19fb2da38646b)

No sooner did I let it go and mikes got a bite on a free swimming minnow...
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0290.jpg&hash=205c7d54abe6a80a366c5b9cd8b9ae5f)
Very colorful laker

Missed another fish there and then nothing for a while...we decide to get deeper and get as far into the ice channel as possible.....a little breaking through here and there and we come to rest over 75FOW in a spot about 30x30'
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2Fchannel.jpg&hash=c403fe15de7504a6268feaa6637b8c89)
Get the jig down and theres fish almost immediately...beerman gets a bite and lands this nice one....ice was building on the rod tips all day....
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0299.jpg&hash=d70f15ca2d2d147b0ed559024dea5797)

I got a few more and so did mike and beerman...the VEX worked like a charm and made a huge difference...just strung the wire way out over the side and set it between us all and could see all 3 baits at once on bottom lock and could tell exactly who was gonna get a bite....
heres a few more action and scenery shots...if we had found those fish in the deep right off the bat I think we would have slayed em, we ended up with about 10 for the morning.....salmon fishin tomorrow ;D

awesome pictures, looks like it was cold out. :o Glad you could get the boat out too, even if you had to run the little breaks in the ice, looks fun, but again, BBBBRRRRR. ;D WTG :thumbup_smilie:
-
Your guys rule :) Great pics and fish :)
-
Nice ;D Did you get into any big ones at all? I think I will have to drag the boat out today and try the same thing.
-
AK...no bigguns, maybe 20" was our best...we didnt really land on em good until later in the morn over the deep water, if we went straight there I am sure we would have caught a lot more and maybe some bigger fish....we had to leave em biting around 1 to get back for a DU banquet
-

You guys are amazing! GREAT stuff!
I nominate you for the most deranged anglers of the month. :o
-
Great pics and nice fish!!
Is it me or did everyone else do a double take at beerman's picture. I thought it was Chris Farley holding a trout ;D LOL

Good week all around, school was a bear again but may 13th its over for good ;D We got in 9 holes one day and caught a couple small salmon in the river including my first on the fly. Fished both days this weekend, yesterday sucked and today was great. Monday the Garder snakes were out in force so I snapped a shot of 3 of them at once...kinda neat.
Get that minnow!

As if the long drag/push wasnt tiring enough there was still some pack ice....about 50 feet of it...... guess we were the first to fish it this year...mike walked right onto it no problem...slid the boat out, we piled in and jumped up and down...smassshhh!....through it went and off we were
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0321.jpg&hash=cdae7b6941551d526b9ed0112a7fa9e5)
LOOOOOOng day of squat and more of the same, we fished every which way and depth...vex, trolling, worms, flies, crayfish, jigs, plugs, ice jigs with maggots, it sucked! We fished a good 8 hours finally nailed a 15" splake on a husky and we were done.
Today we wanted to go vex up and possibly troll some lakers like last weekend...no go, the wind was howling, there were whitecaps, and we got a small boat. Scanned "the book" and picked a spot with a variety of fish and cover from the prevaling winds, back on the road for a while and we finally get there. We fished hard and yielded two LL Salmon which I was lucky to get both of and we missed a few more, they were hitting short today...
The first one was a fattie which tipped the digi scale at 7 lbs even!
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0355.jpg&hash=9bda5432766ab61a719949fb3ae15de3)

Real nice salmon guys. I drove through the heart of the Adirondacks last weekend and was amazed at how many lakes were still frozen solid.
Spring comes late in mountain country.

Those snakes are cool. Looks like beerman was gonna just crush it off the tee!
-
Nice fish!! Looks like you guys put some hard labor in!!
Robb

Nice Salmon Harry! How'd he fight??
-
CK- I dont know if they ate the minnow, they were pecking at it a while and i gave up watching
Nice Salmon Harry! How'd he fight??
He fought OK, no jumps or huge runs but a few little screamers and he buried down more than anything. We actually thought it was a nice laker until it came boatside.
-
First thing i thought of was SNL's Chippendales skit with Farley and Swayze only with camo on LMFAO!!!!!! Then "Tommy likey, tommy want wingyyy" from beerman........you guys have me pissin myself at my desk !!!!!
-
Beautiful salmon, I've never seen one that big before. Way to go!
-
Great Salmon Harry. a 7lber is pretty darn big in my book :)
-
Those are some beuts...even when they are squirmy LOL
-
Had the bug to salmon fish again this morn, mike had the day off and I could miss my only class at 10 am without issue, beerman had a mandatory lab at 2....get there early, fish hard then jet! At the lake by 5 and dragged the boat in the dark....
Nightime Sun ;)
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0389.jpg&hash=94873536299a9050bd86ca67089ebcb0)
Worked our way down the shore picking up some green carp at first light....lots of premature jubilation when they first hit, then the rod goes limp ::) Mike had a nice strike but didnt get a hookset...onward... Sun is just peeking and beerman has a salmon rise over his line, he quick reels in and casts in front of it....BAM! Fish nails it screams off some line, doubles back and clears the water, HOLY SHNIKIES its a slob!! A few more runs and a half-assed jump and the fish is boatside for a net. 27" 9lbs and FAT!!! :o
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0392.jpg&hash=e8ae18da77a73fa2991b2b9f7ee101c0)
The fish was hooked bad and obviously not gonna make it, we always release our salmon but had no choice today but to keep it and not let it suffer and go to waste. :-\ Beerman has a killer dill cream sauce recipe for salmon so it will be thoroughly enjoyed and consumed.
Here is the Farley shot for the day :rotflol:
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0393.jpg&hash=58512c0c2366eddcc706d18ad6372f58)
We kept on keepin on to no avail, we had a few follows but they just would not hit, except of course for some more greenies. It was gettin to be that time to head for the truck and get back in time, we laid out a trolling spread and got our speed down. In the middle of BS-ing my rod doubled over and I was rewarded with this sweet jumping hookjaw around 4 lbs....Quick photo and back into the lake, all in all an AWESOME morning!

-
awesome guys!! those salmon are cool!
You should build a boat carrier. 2 bicycle wheels, and build a little cradle to put the boat in. then it is easy to balance and walk in. I used to walk mine in 2 miles to a pond in NJ that had some awesome fish in it. My ex caught a 9 lb lmb on top there.
-
thats a good idea oc...we will have to get rollin on that ;D
-
Wow, you guys are really getting into the Salmon, nice fish. That pic of you pushing the boat thru the woods is a classic. ;D :clapping:
-
Tommy Boy! ;D d**n, that's an awesome sammie!! I'm dying to try that place...If you guys get an open seat some morning, let me know...I'd love to get over there and try my luck at gettin a salmon like that. ;) :D Way to go Dom!
-Zach
-
WOW DUDE!!! WHAT A SAMMY!
-
Those snakes are cool. Looks like beerman was gonna just crush it off the tee!
The most important word there is "looks" as harry pointed out i have a hell of a power fade. Hard left and swings way back to the right. That was one of the best drives i had all day though!!
-
Man, are you guys fishing in that pond behind the hatchery? ;) JK Nice fish you guys, that one of Beerman's is a pig! Keep the pics coming :thumbup_smilie:
-
nice fish :flex:
-
HOLY SMOKES THAT SALMON IS HUGE and yes I was yelling :)
-
NY is the best. Period.
I really like your guys' adventures, stories, and pics.
Nice salmon!
-
Sweet fish guys! I don't know nothin bout no Salmon, but I know that one's BIG ;D This thread is gonna be a mile or 3 long if you guys keep it up ;)
-
thats a good idea oc...we will have to get rollin on that ;D
I'll try to dig up a pic, then it would be easy to dupe. It definitely was way easier to get the boat to remote places...
-
Hey, i thought chris farley OD'd? Nice fish there guys...i bet they were a blast!! Tommy does love winggyyy and fishyyyy!!
-
Wasnt sure if I felt like Salmon fishin today due to the long ass drive and gettin out of class at 11. On the way home from class I noticed Champlain was in rare "calm" form. Not a chance in frozen, pig flying hell I was gonna run errands and get a haircut after that..... ::)
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0417.jpg&hash=c95c8eb64bf381f9754ed39d440b6c31)
Called Mike and he was a go for some Salmon action. Finally at the lake by 1:30 and we set in on our usual routine. We didnt catch a thing for a while and I was giving mike crap for bringing the dreaded "white lighter" which many believe is an omen for bad luck....No sooner did I give him crap and this nice hookjaw slammed my line....
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2Fmehookjaw.jpg&hash=195882e5df0c72468efd17ea8e5b1ea2)
Quick photo then back into the lake....We worked a little more down our usual path and then I got another bite. It screamed line, dove straight under the boat and came up berzerk on the surface, I almost crapped when I first saw it....A few more hard runs, a short lived tailwrap which had me very nervous, slowly unraveled it, ran a little more and offered a net shot.....
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0423.jpg&hash=778e8aea792db9d7f74b156ed0b7798c)
I didnt get a weight (any guestimates?) It was pushin 30", floppin around good, and I didnt wanna waste much time out of the water....Released to grow even bigger ;D
After that we moved around a bit, talked to a nice older guy in a canoe, moved some more and looped back, upon returning we noticed the guy into a fish calling for help as he didnt have his net. We buzzed over and scooped his fish which was a nice salmon in the 5-6 lb range. Here is a shot of him on the fish.
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0426.jpg&hash=a30769750b856f5e8bf343d6d5fa0b2e)
Following that Mike had a nice fish and it flop-jumped out of the net as I was scooping and threw the hook for a "boatside release" :-\ We started back for the vehicle and mike picked up this nice little rainbow on the way back....
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2Fmikebow.jpg&hash=af067862d3e9dff930cf1823d316c556)

-
wow, what a fish :flex: is that a rainbow or salmon ???
-
Hey...how bout that beauty of a rainbow that I caught....what a monster! (JK) It was the first fish I caught on my new large arbor real. I was hoping for the first to be something that would scream the drag, but as it was small, I just gunned the motor and it seemed bigger!
-
::)Oh, and BTW, New York obviously STOMPS! ::)
-
HEEEEY...mike registed for the site ;D
-
Weeee!...and away I go!
-
Here is today's result, a decent laker.... they were pushin smelt right up to the grass at a creek mouth, had the lady with me and she was coold, I would still be out there otherwise. Mike also had a few more of those rainbows.

::)Oh, and BTW, New York obviously STOMPS! ::)
Mike: Welcome!! Make sure you get ready for the "unofficial" tourney coming up starting June. Ask Hood about it to get you up to speed,,right now it's a NY versus Maine, Pennsyltucky and Michigan deal. Michigan is gonna be the only real competition, followed by Maine..and oh yeah, the 1 or 2 entrants from Pa as well........Have Hood show you the thread we've got started...Esox
-
Thanx for the Heads Up Slayer...Hood already mentioned the Inter-State Tourney....maybe if ALL the other States ganged up, maybe, they could beat Team Barking Spider, if I bring the White Lighter.
and as for Michigan....bring 'em on!
Hey , I can get an Avatar now :-\
-
Hey Hood...with all that salmon Beerman made and you gave me one tiny lil peice!!! Me need BIG piece!

We had all the ingredients on hand for the crumbs and didnt feel like goin ot the store... ;D It was goood, and I also dont like salmon much ;)
-
Went salmon fishin, again, in the pouring rain. Mike and I switched to flyrods for more excitement and got some sweet lookin deceivers to match the smelt that the fish had been chasing....On our trek across the expanse to the incoming creek we set out some rods just in case...we were rigging other things when beerman's rod got slammed, the fish fought prety good, took some line, and jumped way out of the water a couple feet from the boat, it was really cool. It ended up in the net and weighed 6.5 lbs ;D
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0434.jpg&hash=f3c425cf1a9d90938fb4637d441f4687)
We got to our spot where we met Matt (pikie) and his uncle. They had already caught a couple fish and were pluggin away. I missed my first bite then hooked into a nice dark colored male.
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0435.jpg&hash=0e0e454977ecb1053a880ea2c337a9ee)
He fought great on the fly and soared once.
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0442.jpg&hash=e7b7bd9e48fa5a895c9e4111a36a5729)
Matt and beerman got another laker out in the boat then the bite seemed to die right after that, the smelt went away, the fish stopped rolling, and it began to pour. I went for a cruise up the creek to witness what would be my first smelt run...HOLY CRAP! The creek was a black cloud of moving fish that would part as we walked through, it was insane!
We got a camping trip lined up this weekend for big brookies and such in the backcountry, cant wait ;D
-
there ya go ;D very nice on the fly rod sammies. :thumbup_smilie:

The trip was a huge success and many thanks to Matt (pikie) for inviting us on what has been an annual event for him. We paddled out, portaged a while, and set up camp thursday evening and had 2 full days of fishing back in God's country, having just returned home about an hour ago. The lake we set up on had an abundance of nice brookies in the 12-15" range and they quickly became delicious campfire cuisine thursday night and friday morning. Friday afternoon Beerman, Mike, and myself had the urge to seek out new water and maybe find some bigger fish.
Mike in his Yak
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0457.jpg&hash=a9cbaac1e6ef3a90d49f9d9211e8ac53)
We worked a bit and located some fish at the base of a nice dropoff. We went upwind and drifted back over the drop... 30 seconds into it and Beerman had a bite...fish on! First splake of the trip ;D
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0460.jpg&hash=deb62981fcfac9d22c54cf13401f591a)
The wind was kickin so we went for a rock on shore to tie as an anchor. Beerman tossed his bait out and we got to work....anchor complete and he has a fish come up and slam his bait right at the shore as he is reeling in. The fish fought like hell into the dead trees, up and down the shore, and I finally leaned way out with the net on a tree over the bushes and scooped it up.
20+" 3 1/4 lbs on the digi ;D

I was dickin around tryin to do the same and he tosses out a big swimbait for kicks and another one jumped on!
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0463.jpg&hash=84dc5d10ec8edfcc2dbad4084687574b)
We fished from shore some more to no avail and got back out and anchored. First drop I had a good bite and got a 3 1/4 pounder myself.
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0468.jpg&hash=ffc925ca8e2d75e9a1f13faa1ba889ac)

That was it for the bite and we headed back to camp. We were being followed ;)
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0477.jpg&hash=652d9f0351ec1b6bb5b4a9a1bbe98043)
Next morn we were back in the same general area. Beerman and I were first on scene and immediately missed 2 fish which sucked. We then met the character of the trip, Adirondack Jack. He was a hoot and bestowed much knowledge and storytelling upon us. Here he is right before netting "walter" as he mentioned quite a few times.
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0479.jpg&hash=3b84957b1f13e485366b4d881e091bdf)
Mike and Matt finally joined the hurrah as beerman and I were catchin and releasing some smaller fish. Mike got his first from the boat. Here is Matt goin for the scoop.
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0481.jpg&hash=38895e0811841fee226f3a73586c2f0c)
They finally joined us on shore and began to catch as well...Mike with a nice splake

We ended up bringing back 6 fish that morn and released at least as many, here is beerman "portaging" back to camp for lunch.
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0484.jpg&hash=8d4b03a92c59b2570a1d57577d1f1e09)
We got back out sat. afternoon with Zach joining us and the fish were just not biting. We fished hard to no avail and that was it for the weekend fishing. As I mentioned it was a huge success with countless brookies at the camp pond, cold beer, good food, big colorful splake, and most importantly good times around the fire and on the water with new and old friends. Keep an eye for Zach and Matt posting, they will have some great photos as well ;D

Awesome pictures of some very big fish!
-
It was a great trip Harry. Way to go finding the honey hole on the other pond for big splake, that was great. Couldn't have asked for better fishing, weather, or company! I didn't actually bring my digital camera because I'd be sure to drop it in the water, like I did with my walkie talkie. I also knew you and Zach would do a good job with the digital pics. Once I get my pics developed I'll see if there are any that need to be scanned in. Already looking forward to next year.
-

Its that time, the bass have invaded the river and provide good action while tryin to catch salmon. There are still a few sammies around but they are tougher to catch and are beginning to rely on the hatches in the afternoon and at dusk. Beerman and I slayed the smallies this week down there and he even pulled this largemouth from the fastwater, never thought that would happen.
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0496.jpg&hash=e3d785a3a9da0a6f2c0ee6f8cac49eb2)
Saturday we went pike fishing and did not have any luck with them, but we did catch piles of bass, both large and smallmouth. They were caught mainly on live minnows and a few on zara spooks, it was cool having them
come to the surface already.
B-Man with a very hungry bass

We were working the shore right before the sky opened up and I had this nice bucketmouth nail an original Zara on the first couple twitches.
taped a hair over 21"...got lots of room to fatten up ;D

That was it for our weekend. We got finals week now and will not be serious fishin til sunday or so.... I was down at the river this morn for an hour trying for a salmon but only got some more smallies....back to the books ;D

Did some brookie fishin this weekend and had a very interesting experience. First fish of the day is hooked and all of a sudden it gets real big and is screaming line, I pull it in finally and notice there is a loon holding onto it going nuts, Mike was in the other boat and couldnt believe his eyes either, I was goin bonkers as well, it was so cool. It lets go at boatside and that was just the beginning.
HA, I win!
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0551.jpg&hash=025b821a5783aabe5f7d0eeb9ab29037)
We get the Wobblers back down and the loon is following about 60 ft behind the boat. My girlfriend gets a bite and hooks a fish, I see the loon take a peek down then dive.....here we go again.....the rod doubles and it starts dumping the reel, i take it and crank down the drag and pull the fish free and started reeling fast, we get the fish and the loon is chillin right at the boat.
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0554.jpg&hash=798224bb81ca0723539093bb8e2f6469)
The fish is slashed and dead so I tossed it to the loon for its efforts. At this point I got the cam out and am snapping pics and video of whats goin down. Here is the sequence of the video I took of some Adirondack style cat n' mouse....its uploading and I will have it ready tonight.
(https://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy77%2Fhood997%2F100_0565.jpg&hash=33dd1da98bd0e3f955d0c62175d5f1a2)

Cool vid Hood. Must have been a blast to see live! Is there a LOON category in the MFF tourney?!
Yeah, that was just a clip of the madness that went down. We couldnt believe what was happening, it was unreal, I really wanted it to come over and just pick the trout but it HAD to dive every time, some sort of instinct, it wouldnt pick the fish from the surface but only from below...they got some CRAZZZY eyes up close. Evil lookin in a way :o
-
Took this pic last year. Cute little fella.
