snap swivel and jigs

Should I tie them directly on or can use use a snap swivel? I use buck tails and jig heads with a minnow.

i use a swivel. i think it keeps the jig from twisting

Jig's are one of the few things that I tie directly to my line. I mostly use a leader and just a swivel if twisting is a concern. Other than that I use a fast snap for all other lures.

 I tie direct mostly because its easier to retie a couple feet shorter every now and then 'cause of line abrasion. When you tie direct be sure the eye is clean and smooth.

Skipper:
try a snap, not a snap/swivel.
