Catching sea smelt down east
« on: May 23, 2024, 09:08 AM »
I have been smelting for 50 years. On monday night I had my limit in about 20 minutes, what was really interesting is I also had 10-11 small brook trout. Though its not uncommon to catch 1 or 2 to catch 10-11 was very interesting. I have to wonder if the sea run brookies are thriving and doing well or was this just a fluke. These brookies were only 3-4" and very easy to see in the net.
Its a lazy man that can't find his wife a second job
