Central Mass Open Water
« on: Mar 08, 2010, 09:11 PM »
I just moved over here from the Shanty, and does anyone know of any good open water in Central Mass. I had my last trip out recently, and with these 50* days, I decided to call my hardwater season finished. Thanks in advance.

I'd expect that after this week, most places are going to be unfishable on the ice. I call it quits when I have to start using planks to get out

I was fishing open water last week, before all the rain... I hit the Millers river, no luck but this time of year in the past I have done very well. Now I am just waiting for the water to go down.

Not that much, but more than enough to raise the rivers and put a trout pond in my fathers cellar. We were leaving for Fl. today, but its on hold until its cleaned up.... I am looking forward to some Tarpon, reds and sea trout!
