Just wondering how many of you tie flies

I am new to this site, and Iceshanty.com.  I started tying my own flies a few years ago, about the same time I built my first fly rod.  It is very rewarding to catch fish on something you built.

When you start you have to be patient and do it slow kind of like driving but once you get use to it it becomes nature. I now can tie quality flies real fast while watching television and talking to someone

Now this is a real fun and creative aspect of fishing!

I've been doing it for 17 years now.  I took a couple classes through our local Trout Unlimited and have been doing it ever since.  Also comes in handy for tying jigs and feathered treble hooks for Pop-r's.

Now, how many fly ties?  

Oh, and don't ever let your wife find those size 20 midge hooks in her nylon stockings.  Whoa!

     I tied for forty years 'till my fingers wouldn't work on the #16 to #20 nymphs anymore. I'd like to teach someone else so they could supply 'em for me.
