Inland Sea Salmon fishing?
« on: May 02, 2018, 09:21 AM »
Anyone trolling South Hero or Keeler Bay?   I'm thinking of trolling for salmon and hoping to out do Perch Bait's 2017 pike!

We've been out a couple of times, Dick, but the water is still cold and the fishing is slow.  Perchbait did catch a decent pike a couple of weekends ago and a salmon this past weekend, but lots of trolling around looking at dead alwives in between those fish!  Thousands of dead & dying alewives in Keeler's right now.  Pretty tough to compete with all of that free food, I guess.

Any luck finding an updated Keeler Bay cam? I can't find anything later than April 15th.

;D OK!  I'm going to do like Perch Bait and Crayfish and troll Keeler Bay with salmon lures and hope to catch monster pike.  Maybe I will go to Dockside and get some shiners to troll and catch lots of fish??
