Had a good day on the Tippe
« on: Jun 22, 2018, 08:23 AM »
I fished the rise on the Tippe yesterday.  It was a good multispecies day.  Stripes, gar, drum, crappie, and bass were eating jigs.  At times it rained so hard I couldn't tell if I was in the water or on "dry" land!  The traffic was
horrible.
BTW - Castleton Gander has a nice selection of minnows in several sizes.

what no channnel cats? lol  they are everywhere in there now.  blue hole to the oakdale dam should be chock full of them.  great eye fishing there too early season.  our rivers here are way high.  after a point the fishing gets tough.  they spread out and feed up in the brush.  should be some monster flathead holding at the confluence of the tippy and wabash rite now!  pulled a few 40-50#ers from that in the past.
