I had a great opportunity to sit down with Preston Woolheater last weekend. He has been tying flies for over 50 years and was taught by Ray Smith of Phoenicia.  Preston is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the Esopus stream and what flies work there.  I hope you enjoy this video. Good luck fishing this season!

Nice video. I like that he uses a Danvise for production tying. I owned one for many years and passed it along to a friend when I bought my Dynaking. Great vise for the dollar.

I've tied many Ausable Wolf flies. Catskill Dry flies are an art form every tier should practice.

Nice, thanks for posting.  Good memories on the Esopus, taught  my kids to fly fish there.
